What are your service areas?

What hours do you do your walks?

Woofin’ It business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM M-F. We adapt our dog walking and pet sitting services to your needs outside of regular hours and on weekends for a small additional fee. You can always send and email to info@woofinitdogwalking.com.

Do you offer in-home overnight care?

We love our Petjama Parties!  An overnight visit with your furry family is always a pleasure. A Woofin’ It Pet Concierge will come to your home in the evening to walk the dog and feed your pets. They will spend the night at your home and take care of your pets in the morning with another walk/feed. Our pet sitting sleepovers also include a next day visit.

I like your Pet Concierge services! How do we get started?

Please complete the Contact Us form and schedule a Meet & Treat! This enables us to get to know you and your pet. This meeting is a chance to get to know us and for us to learn your pet’s specific likes and dislikes and any special needs they may have. We will take care of them the way you do!. If you and your pet(s) approve, we work out a service plan custom tailored to your needs. We will ask you to sign a service agreement and we will request 2 copies of your house key.

Should you tip your pet sitter?

We are proud of the team members that pass our screening and training to become bonded and insured dog walkers and pet sitters. We always strive to exceed your expectations. If you feel they have done a great job we are sure they would greatly appreciate a tip.  All tips go directly to the Pet Concierge.

Do you send the same Pet Concierge each time? I had a bad experience before and prefer my pets not have to get used to new people all the time.

Absolutely. Woofin’ It is committed to forming loving bonds with your pets.  This can only be accomplished with consistency and purpose. Our dog walkers and pet sitting concierge staff look forward to spending time with their new best friends. We strive to be more than bodies walking dogs and feeding “animals”. We know that routine is an important part of a pet’s well-being. Except for illness or emergency, you may expect the same trusted Woofin’ It concierge.

What do you do in case of an emergency (sick pet sitter) or inclement weather?

In the event of a sick dog walker, we will have a back-up walker able to cover the visit because we always assign a back-up dog walker for all our clients. Before a back-up walker is assigned, however, we will make certain she comes to your house with your primary sitter to meet your pet. This ensures that the back-up walker is completely familiar with your pet’s routine so there is no disruption with your pet’s visit in the event your primary walker is sick or unable to do the visit for any reason. During our in-home Meet & Treat, we will ask for the name and phone number of an emergency contact as well as the name and number of a neighbor. In the event of a severe weather situation, we follow Frederick County Public school’s closings and delays.

What safety precautions do you take to ensure the security of my home?

We follow a security procedure that includes locking and checking doors.  If you have an alarm system, we will note that during our Meet and Treat and will be sure to set the alarm while we are walking the dog and completing our assignment.  At no time will we leave your house unlocked. We can also provide crime-deterrent measures such as rotating your lights and blinds to provide a lived-in look. As with all of our services, we will customize our visits to meet your needs.

How do I know for sure that my dog walker is spending the amount of time in my home that I am paying for?

One of the great benefits of working with Woofin’ It is our Time to P​​​​​et software.  This is similar to a patient portal you would find from your doctor. Pet Concierge Services not only allow you to monitor time tracking by Pet Concierge, we can also show you GPS tracking of our Dog Walks!  Included in the many features of this application is the ability to pay your bill online.  You will have password protected access at all times.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Woofin’ It is Bonded and Insured by The Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

Do you have a list of references?

Yes!  Please see our Wooferences here!  We are very proud of our service and the fact that our customers take the time to bark our praises.  Just like our beloved Pets, we love praise!

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that schedules frequently change, so we ask that you give us at least 24-hours notice. You will be charged for the visit if you cancel less than 24 hours.

Do you work on holidays?

Holidays are included as part of our services. We will schedule and bill regular rate plus a holiday service charge. Please be sure to make your reservations with as much notice as possible. We will try to book your regular concierge and if you reserve early enough, this is easier.

What is your policy on last-minute reservations?
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours of the scheduled service will be charged the full rate.
  • Weekday walks requested after 7pm the day before will have an additional $5 added to the rate.
  • All weekend dog walks requested after 5pm on Friday will have an additional $10 added to standard weekend rates.
    (we pride ourselves on our flexibility and can almost always accommodate last minute requests, but appreciate as much advanced notice as possible for all Dog Walking and Pet Sitting services.)
  • Any scheduled dog walks for Fridays after 6pm, Saturdays, Sundays that are canceled after 5pm on the prior Friday will be charged at the full rate.
  • Overnight services canceled with less than 72 hours notice are subject to a $25 late cancel fee per night for duration of stay.
What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Check (made out to Woofin’ it) or PayPal. Your payment can be made via our Time To Pet Portal with no added fee.

When is payment due?

The Monday of the week that the service is being done.​

You say you are a member of PSI. What is PSI and why should I care?

Pet Sitter International (PSI) is the leading educational association for pet sitters.  PSI sets the standards for the professional pet sitting industry, and provides pet owners with access to the largest online directory of pet sitters.  As a pet parent, you want the best care for your pet and with PSI you can be assured that you are getting it.

Will you play stick or frisbee or ball with me?

Yes!  This is our favorite game too!  Sometimes we can only do this in the back yard.

Can we go to the park? I love the park? Please, can we go to the park?

If you have a favorite park in your neighborhood, you can count on us sharing time with you there!

Is off-the-leash time permitted? I won’t run….much!

Silly rules sometime require us to keep you on the leash. But we promise to let you enjoy your walk and we love to play in your yard.  If you’re a kitty, we will play with your favorite toy or play games with you!

Do you forgive bad behavior? I’m always sorry, but sometimes I get carried away.

You are always forgiven with big hugs and snuggles.

Can I sniff other dogs? Sometimes they like to play!

We know that your sniff instinct is strong, but your safety is our number one priority, so we will avoid potentially harmful contact with strangers.   You can sniff any inanimate things you like!

Can I mark a bunch of spots? I just must mark spots!

We would expect nothing less, if it is safe and polite.

Do you clean up after me? I love when my humans pick up after me!

We never leave a mess!  It is part of our job to bag it!
